Basketball Union of Zimbabwe Announces New League Format

<p>The Basketball Union of Zimbabwe (BUZ) has unveiled a new format for the National League that grants automatic qualification to top Harare Basketball Association teams.</p>

<p>According to the new format, in the men's category, automatic qualification will be awarded to the top four HBA teams and the top two teams from other provincial associations. This decision recognizes the competitive strength and depth of the Harare Basketball Association leagues.</p>

<p>The new format has generated mixed reactions from the basketball fraternity, with some praising the recognition of HBA's competitive standards while others calling for more balanced representation from other regions.</p>

<p>BUZ officials have stated that the format change is designed to improve the overall quality of the National League while still providing pathways for teams from across Zimbabwe to compete at the highest level.</p>

<p>The Harare Basketball Association continues to work closely with BUZ to develop the sport throughout the country.</p>
