Road to BAL 2026: Basket Hounds Complete Group Stage Campaign

<p>Zimbabwe's Basket Hounds concluded their Road to BAL 2026 campaign after facing tough competition from regional powerhouses in the group stage.</p>

<p>The team faced formidable opponents including Ferroviario da Beira from Mozambique, Johannesburg Giants from South Africa, and Dolphins of Botswana. Despite the challenging competition, the campaign provided valuable experience for Zimbabwe's top basketball talent.</p>

<p>Ferroviario da Beira dominated their opener against Basket Hounds with an emphatic 94-60 victory, setting the tone early before completely taking control. The Johannesburg Giants continued their unbeaten run with a 79-65 victory over the Hounds, led by Ephraim Ozabor's 18 points.</p>

<p>The Road to BAL experience represents an important step in the development of Zimbabwe basketball, providing exposure to continental-level competition and highlighting areas for continued growth.</p>
